Chris Mayer was leading the way.

Joe Shane, we're not 100% sure of his involvement in all this, even though we know he had a big involvement in it.

But what are your overall thoughts on that?

I guess both.

Chris Mara speaking in general and then his comments of not really defending Shane, but just saying like, yeah, him and John Harbaugh are good.

Yeah, I mean, I think... The decision was made before John Harbaugh was fired by the Ravens.

So the decision is independent of John Harbaugh.

And also keeping Joe Shane was John Mara's decision, not Chris Mara's.

Like as much as Chris Mara has taken the reins in this, the decision to keep Joe Shane is John Mara's.

He owns that 100 percent.

You know, he was the guy leading the way on retaining Joe Shane.

Uh, so I, but again, it's just interesting.

Um, but also like the, he, the, what the part that weirds me, I'm not, not saying a lot, right.

Because like you said, this is his first time really doing media.

I'm not expecting him to be perfectly, you know, trained in the way to do it, but at the end, but he did know to prepare and he didn't know he'd get this question.

To say that John Harbaugh probably knows him better than I do certainly feels like a guy that probably distanced himself from him as well, too.
