So I think those silver linings were so important.
Honestly, I got within a couple of hundred metres from those, what I call statues of the sea.
And
looking up at them from that perspective, it's just a feeling of overwhelming awe.
And my catamaran couldn't come that far in.
They were about a K out.
So I actually had to leave my catamaran.
And it's an area that is sort of known for some sharks and it's cold water.
So
But I felt so brave in that moment and it was so worth it.
I paddled away from my boat and I just sat there and took in that moment and I could see some tourists up on the cliffs looking down and I'm sure they could see me and a chopper went overhead.
It was a Surf Life Saving Victoria chopper.
And it almost felt like in that moment, I was sharing that with these people from all different perspectives.

Oh, I tell you, the seals.
They are the most cheeky animal on earth, I think.
They would pop up, you know, once we started getting to the cooler waters of Victorian South Australia where they hang out.
I would be paddling in the middle of the day and just have a seal head pop up next to me.
And they actually get frightened of humans too, which is hilarious.
So at the end of each day, if there were dolphins in the water, my crew and I would jump out and pop, you know, the scuba goggles on and go have a look.
