This again, it took me a couple of months to actually participate in these activities with my crew.
I thought for the first two months, I can't do that.
I've got to be an athlete.
I've got to just get straight on the boat, put the compression boots on and recover.
But I started realizing I was missing all these amazing opportunities.
And there was a time in Victoria where I dove into the water with those goggles.
And instead of a dolphin popping up, it was a seal.
I came face to face with this seal.
I remember its big look of surprise and it basically swam away as quickly as it could.
So in waters where I was feeling scared, this seal was on edge too.
And it's not surprising knowing the predators they've got.
They thought I was crazy.
I had that multiple times, probably over 50 times leading in.
I was told by skippers and these super yacht captains I was speaking to and marine pilots that that's crazy.
You don't go east to west across the Bight.
We all know that most of the time the currents and the wind is running west to east, but
But I'd spoken to Sir Roger Budden and he said, you'll get a weather window.
You might have to wait a few days for it, maybe even a week, but you'll get that weather window across the Bight.
And we did.
