My own background has been building, leading, transforming pretty large teams in a variety of large companies, companies with very different workplace cultures.
Before 2009, I was leading an industrial wireless company.
Prior to that, I actually led industrial inkjet and color worldwide for Kodak.
And that was actually a time when Kodak was bringing together five different $1 billion entities and integrating them all together at once.
So that was a very interesting experience.
And, you know, the things that we learned there are partly why Dostal is different.
We actually started from the idea of can we build a platform that will help scale leadership into an organization?
I think when I founded Jostle, I didn't actually know what an internet was.
We quickly realized that's what we were, but a very different kind of one.
We've raised capital, but in a bit of an unusual way.
Friends and family on steroids.
We've raised a little over $7 million that way.
No institutions, no angels.
They're all senior leaders that have some passion for what we're doing.
that have stepped up and made an investment in our vision.
Yeah, Vancouver's great.
Yeah, it's a high cost of living, but it's got the benefits to pay for that.
We're up around 500.
One other very cool thing about Vancouver is it's super multi-ethnic.
So we actually have employees from 24 different countries.
