And that's kind of what they represent.
So it's kind of I took that concept of this hidden world within our world that everyone believed that they lived this really fortunate life there.
And I was kind of like, well, what if, you know, what if it wasn't actually that fortunate?
What if they kind of started out that way but then things went wrong and took a bit of a wrong turn?
So that was kind of one little bit of, like, inspiration, I suppose.

I suppose it's like it's very vague.
It's not really pinned down specifically within the book itself.
But then, of course, I've got like the bird theme throughout.
So that was in part inspired by the aviary concept.
I mean, it's kind of like it's all tied together, but that is also kind of inspired by the relevance of birds in Greek mythology.
Like they're quite often symbolic of omens, like whether they're good or bad or they're connected to specific gods within the mythos structure.
And then, of course, we've got the gods within the realm, which are the Anemoi.
And that, I suppose, they're always depicted as these winged gods of the wind.
So they, of course, had quite an impact on the world building again.
And I suppose there are the...
They are kind of tied in with the bird themes because of the wings.
It's really quite subtle, isn't it?
It is very subtle.
I think the most obvious one would be the gods, if you're familiar with Greek mythology.
