And then, you know, we had a Zoom with Kyle and his wife and agents and me and your doc.
So like had that conversation, which was great.
and get to, you know, let him behind the curtain a little bit, like see what we thought, get his thoughts on how he thinks about the game, which was really interesting on how a lot of how he thinks about hitting is a lot of similarities to like where Freddie is picking, you know, a very simple, straightforward thought and like that's how it keeps him dialed.
And so it was cool to hear some of those insights.
Cause you do your homework, but you don't know how guys actually think about it in that way.
So yeah, I think a lot of it is like due diligence.
And then as things become a little more real, like just being ready to fire and making sure that, you know, obviously Mark and ownership are on board with it.
So those things happen quickly, but I think a lot of it is like making sure you do the work on the front end.

initially you're just seeing like, okay, watch this guy play, play against them.
It's impossible to game plan for.
He might be better first left than he is first right, which is crazy for how good he is in general.
And then you start getting, you're doing the deeper dives from our baseball ops group, looking at some of the under the hood stuff, the defense, and how it was like significantly better outside of Wrigley and the challenges of Wrigley in day games.
You're like, okay, there's like a
We know the offensive side of it.
There's a really compelling case there's even more in here.
You talk to him and hear his brain.
Our group will even potentially bring this to another level.
A lot of it is betting on our environment of guys who are this good.
