It's like, I'm just going to do this thing and then I'll, I'll make enough money and then I can sort this out.
Um, you know, and I keep picking on the construction industry, but it's just cause I see so much of it.
Um, you know, they'll price a job, they'll have, um, expectations of what they're going to receive from that, that job.
And that will help clear some debt, but they've, they've ended up mispricing it.
Um, or there's been complications on site that hasn't worked out like they thought.
And then it just keeps going like that.
Yeah, it's really interesting.
And I think we're quite similar in the sense that we invest in ourselves and we put people around us that kind of supplement and can teach us.
Um, and it's certainly like, I'm very mindful of what my weaknesses are and I hire that, um, or I will train that.
And, um, you know, in the accounting piece, you know, I've got an amazing accountant, um, happens to be your business partner.
Um, but, um, you know, having someone who is all over my business and can supplement my weaknesses in that space means that I get, I get all sorts of forecasts that I can then rely on to make big decisions, um, and manage risk, manage things that are coming up that, uh, may not be on my radar.
And, you know, I just think a lot of business owners, they will pay the, you know, two, three grand a year and the compliance costs for an accountant to do your annual returns, which let's be honest, like none of us value, uh, our annual returns.
Um, the data is so late.
Um, and we do it for the ID, not for us.
Like I want that end of the month or end of quarter data and insights.
Yeah.
I think a lot of business owners are missing an opportunity to have someone good in their corner because that is, I think, will supplement a lot of gaps that I see.
I would have interviewed thousands of directors over my career.
And an overwhelming thing is how many times the accountant gets blamed.
Oh, the accountant didn't tell me this, didn't tell me that.
