I found a CPA that would sit on the board because I didn't know how to do taxes for a business or a nonprofit.
And so as you ask that question, like I go back to that conversation because that's what we're doing now, too.
Yeah, we want to find people that are believing in what we do, but we're looking for, you know, where can we fully level up and grow this business with the right individuals?
And Kyle and I have both been really fortunate in what we do here that we've both had
probably too many mentors.
I mean, we, I have a board member who for probably until his kids just started driving last year.
So for like 10 years,
He would drop his kids off at school and then call me.
It would be 7.30 in the morning and I'd take the call and I'd talk to him for 30 or 40 minutes as he was driving his kids to school.
I was just talking to him last week and I was like, I don't think either of us realized in the moment that that was a relationship we both needed.
That, you know, you were navigating raising a child with a disability and excited about the things we were doing here.
You were on our board.
But I craved having somebody to mentor me because I had never run a business before.
And here I was running this business while, you know, at the time was like, you know, just a $300,000, $350,000 a year fundraising need.
But I still didn't know what to do.
And just, I completely agree with that.
And finding those right people in your life and being open.
It's the same thing we do in racing.
Like we got to be open to what the other is saying or the other is experiencing in order to be successful.
It was hard at first.
