I saw this comment that somebody pulled on YouTube and they posted it on X and I hesitated reading it, but I did want to share now based on the information I found.
This person said, I went to high school with him and I knew him as a little asshole.
He treated everyone however he felt because he knew he could get away with it given his condition, unsurprised that he killed someone.
Now obviously this is not verified and that last line is a very significant claim and that's really why I didn't want to read the comment, but I think the more relevant part is that he treated everyone however he felt because he knew he could get away with it.
And stick with me here because this is even more relevant when we get to the part about the victim.
But I read this comment and I was thinking, okay, like his DUI, he was able just to get away with it.
Like he ran into a cop car, he ran into a building and it's so swept under the rug that mainstream media is not even recording it in their stories about this that I had to learn about it from a random commenter who lives in the area because no mainstream media outlet even found out about it.
Like it's just, it's weird.
It's just interesting.
Anyway, and of course there are people who will immediately jump on this story and talk about him and say, here's more evidence that we need to ban guns.
Violence is happening.
They're shooting everyone.
But again, as I always say, and a lot of us say, this is not a gun problem.
As I learn more about this young man and read his story, I think it's abundantly clear that this is a very angry and unstable and possibly disturbed individual with a long pattern, a literal pattern, history, record of substance abuse.
And unfortunately, devastatingly so, there is a lot of that in our culture, in our society today.
And that is the problem that we should be addressing first.
Why wouldn't our focus be on making our populace healthier and stronger versus taking away rights from people who are healthy and who are law abiding?
That is my question.
Or I guess the better thing to say is that is my response to the people who will inevitably respond with that sort of ban all guns sentiment.
Now, I have spent this entire episode talking about Mr. Cornhole because that's what the internet is
