Now, thankfully I did see a few people in the comments who did understand the point.
Like one woman said,
Y'all, it's not the kids they don't care for.
It is the brutal system and the weight of caring for and supporting children in today's environment.
Women who do not have appropriate support or resources are struggling.
And then Nurse Kate, this is Benny Johnson's wife, she said, this is the worst kind of propaganda.
Hers was my favorite comment on the entire thread.
It isn't the children.
It is a society that rejects small children, forcing most parents to feel like they must isolate at home.
Pieces such as this only exaggerate
that feeling.
And she's only hit on one part of it.
Like what about the postpartum depression?
What about the lack of support?
It's not just that society doesn't want to see the kids, but it's that nobody is helping.
Like if I was a woman who was not sure if I wanted to have kids and I read this article, it would not be the children themselves that would terrify me.
It would be the loneliness and the lack of support because that is what they were talking about.
And it is incredibly well established how lonely modern mothers feel.
Like just look at these stats from 2025.
Less than 18% of mothers feel fully supported.
