You're getting your offense.
back on the field so uh and let's not leave out of this discussion too guys I mean we're talking player acquisition through the lens of the draft but Mike McDonald's got the juice right I mean there's just something that that guy is doing right we always talk about offensive play callers I was going to say we always talk about the the McVeigh's and the Shanahan's being ahead of defensive play callers from that standpoint but Mike McDonald is obviously dialing up
exactly what he needs to at exactly the right time to stay a step ahead of these offensive coaches on the opposing sideline.
Yeah, I mean, they were looking at that position a little bit last year.
I remember we were all sort of raising eyebrows when they brought in Nicky Minwari for a pre-draft visit.
You know, one of those 30 visits, they only get a finite number of those.
And yet, you know, he ended up being a real impact player for the Seahawks.
So I think they would have found a way to use him better.
to me the big sort of pivot point right now for that question and the back end of this defense is what do you do with Jalen Ramsey?
I mean, if you, if you do bring him back and, you know, pay him that whatever it is, 19 and a half million or something like that, check me on that limits.
But if you bring him back into the fold,
Is he safety?
Is he nickel?
Do you want to try him at outside corner again now that Darius Slay is out of the picture?
So it's kind of a good problem to have, I guess, a player who's that versatile.
But it's not a good problem if you think he's at the age now where
He's not going to be able to run with receivers as much as he used to, and I can't get rid of the image from my mind.
The end of that Steelers-Ravens game was so bonkers, but the reason that it was was because he gives up that big catch to Isaiah Likely on fourth down, which set up Tyler Luke for that fateful miss.
I think that's what they envisioned for him when they brought him in.
I mean, you see guys like Eamon Worry, who was a rookie last year, I just mentioned, but even the more veteran guys like Cooper to Jean and especially Kyle Hamilton, who were sort of positionless defensive backs, they're providing a lot of value.
