And I think the Steelers were, you know, sort of picturing Ramsey being like that, but then all sorts of stuff went haywire in the secondary and they had to move on.

Referencing Traven over the cap dot com kind of guy comes to to tracking the salaries and they've got Ramsey on the books here for 19 and a half million dollar cap number in 2026 with a roster bonus due.
March 13th of $3.5 million.
This is like the Larry Ogunjobi situation last year, guys.
Remember, they had to decide on him sooner than later.
They took it down to the wire, but they did ultimately cut him, obviously, because if you get past that date, you're not going to throw good money after bad.
If you get past that date, you're going to keep that guy or you're going to trade him, I guess.
Even trading him would be
eating some of that money.
Ramsey has three years left on the deal, but because of those roster bonuses and because of the signing bonus that he got and money that was eaten by the Dolphins, there won't be any dead money if the Steelers move on from him.
No, I don't think so.

When you sign that affordable deal on the front end, it's like, okay, this is very team-friendly.
This is great for the Steelers.
Well done, Omar Khan and everybody in the front office for finding this sort of hidden gem in Gainwell and getting him for so cheap.
But if the guy performs well enough, the pendulum swings from, okay, now the ball is in the player's court.
Now he's the one who stands to gain from this.
