But once you have the understanding that Mars used to be blue a very long time ago, we have these signs of at least microbial and primitive life.

And then we have these artifacts and then we have what we're going to get into next.

You have a much bigger picture to start really analyzing this data.

And that's the thing.

That is the important thing with Mars is that

Quite often you'll see things online that it's, oh, look at this one thing.

Look at this one funky anomaly.

And it's hard to really put a lot of stock into that because you don't have the other corroborating pieces of evidence.

You don't have the complete story.

And you certainly don't have NASA going to bat for any of this because that's what people want to know.

What does NASA think?

Rightly or wrongly, people still believe in our institutions, okay?

The world is not black or white.

We have our institutions and America is the best country in the world because we have peace.

We're a superpower.

We get to live.

You know, most of us can go about our day just fine.

We don't have to worry about if Grenada's going to go off next door.

I see what you're saying.

So we have our institutions which basically preserve this way of life for most of us.
