And what do you know it, against all odds, she said yes.
Early in the summer, we had a vacation planned.
We were very excited to take this trip together.
And it was going to be the much needed break after school we both needed.
Two weeks on the beach.
That was the vacation.
Today was the day we were getting ready.
So far, so good here, bud.
Waiting for the shoe to drop.
As we were packing up to leave that morning, she asked me to grab something out of her school bag.
I reached into the bag to grab the requested item, and I pulled out a piece of paper.
The front of the paper was schoolwork, printed text.
However, the back of the paper was written text in two different colors of ink and in two different styles of handwriting.
It was a love note that was seemingly passed back and forth between her and a classmate.
There was nothing to lose.
There was no interpretation to be lost here.
