Today was a historic day.
Tomorrow becomes one of the biggest games in the history of Kansas baseball.
Certainly they made a run to Omaha in 1993.
Nothing tops that until you get to Omaha.
But tomorrow is certainly the biggest home game in school history and has a chance to be a springboard to a historic run that might include something similar to those Dave Bingham teams of the early 1990s.
So tomorrow, Mason Cook will be the starting pitcher, and if you've watched us down the stretch of the season, he's been their clear number two guy, and yet he's pitched like a co-ace.
He, out in Provo a couple of weeks ago when we clinched our first Big 12 championship ever and first conference championship in 77 years, believe it or not, he had a no-hitter into the seventh inning and it just ran out of gas at that point.
He then came back last week in surprise in the semifinal game against one of the best offenses in America, the number two home run hitting team in the country, Oklahoma State, and gives up just one run in nearly six full innings with seven Ks.
So Bagley's the star.
He's the guy that's going to be a top three round draft pick and today set the single season strikeouts record.
