to uh chat about it we uh join in another familiar face here's our good friend richard griffin from griffsthepitch.com there he is how you doing griff i'm doing well man how are you guys we're doing very well uh two games under 500 does is that does that feel like a does that feel appropriate does it feel like a win in a weird way the way things have played out this year where do you stand on the jay's record
That's right.
That's what's coming.
And it has been a rollercoaster ride.
And injuries have obviously played a factor.
But they haven't been a very sound team.
I mean, defensively, they've been really poor defensively.
throughout the year but the arms are starting to come together like they they got out of yesterday was hopping in the seventh varlin in the eighth you know we've talked about it before like they don't have that conventional closer right now they're really kind of moving pieces around and trying to find the the high leverage positions most pointedly to put varlin in there but the rotation for the most part is has held up too i know there's been injuries obviously ceases on the il but
They win a lot of 2-1 ballgames, Griff.
I guess what I'm getting to is it really is about that offense.
You mentioned Barger and Kirk.
They weren't great prior to them getting injured, but at the same time, the red carpet will come out when they do return out of prayer that those guys explode with Floddy, with Springer, because if they don't get the offense going, I don't know how they chase down 90 wins this year.
Yes.
I know that's your rep.
I've heard through the grapevine.
I've heard that a lot.
With Richard Griffin, I had a Jay's Orioles tonight.
You know, Tampa's been great.
The Yankees have been great.
Baltimore, not so great.
