I think true growth is only going to happen from outside the format it is now.
it was a polarising concept the Wolfpack and there were you know I don't know the numbers of people that supported it and the number of people that didn't like it but the people that didn't like it were vocal as anything you know our last six or seven games we played in the 2019 season to get promoted we've got to be careful when going away to away grounds it was volatile the dislike for us was really like it was just it was crazy
I'm not sure I'm making judgment on that either.
Some people didn't like the idea of it.
You know, they were adding nothing to Super League and from Super League owners' point of view.
I understand they were thinking, well, what are we getting out of this?
But if we allow them in, they've brought nothing to, you know, the arguments made about Catalan Dragons, isn't it?
They're not adding, you know, financially anything to the competition.
It's just... Well, well...
Correct, I know there's an apathy towards that opinion, but from a Super League owner's point of view, some of those dudes are losing a huge amount of money every year.
And then somebody has this bright idea of bringing in Toronto Wolfpack, and the owner's going, all right, well, how does that work then?
And that's probably when all owners go in and say, do you know what?
Yeah, let's go.
But when there's a significant amount of money leaving their bank account every year, and I don't know how many Super League owners are, multi, multi, multis.
There's a couple.
There's a few.
But they're not all like that.
And if you're losing...
you know, hundreds of thousands, maybe one or two million a year.
That bites.
