There's a new medical facility, a proposed new train station.
So it's really an area under regeneration.
Locals say a proposed route is really vital in helping to transform the area.
But those against it say they're not against community integration, but they say this route would add significantly to congestion in their area.
One of those who has very strong feelings about this is Tiernan O'Neill.
Tiernan is principal of Corpus Christi Primary School, which is located in the heart of Myros.
Now, he's seen many changes in the past 25 years, but he feels this planned route is very important for several reasons.
What's the issue currently with this access route?
And can you understand the arguments why it isn't being opened up?
And this access route would connect my Ross to, as he said, education facilities, sporting facilities.
And it really comes down to poor historic planning.
I mean, there was a planned second route.
It wasn't given the green light decades ago.
So a fudge here now is a gate, which it's near the technological education facility.
It actually opens in the morning until evening.
It'll allow cars and pedestrians to
It'll allow them to drop off.
But then it's closed for six weeks of the summer.
And then the idea itself of a limited gate access, it just doesn't sit well with many in the community in Myros.
Now, I took a walk along the proposed route with Jason Craig, manager of the Community Enterprise Centre, and Adrian Power, who's chairperson of the Myros Partners Group.
