It's about ensuring additional traffic is not diverted into what they say are residential estates.
Now, we spoke
to two of the residents, Louise Hannie.
She's resident in Woodview for 44 years.
She's on the Residence Committee.
And we'll also hear from Martin Leonard, who's committee president.
This is some of what they had to say.
And you know what some of the accusations are, Louise, that this is a kind of an us and them.

How do you feel about that?

What do the council have to say in response?
Well, the council said this access route will remove physical barriers that currently exist between communities.
They acknowledge concerns raised by residents.
They've undertaken extensive consultation.
In fact, they've had over a thousand submissions in relation to public consultation.
They're all being carefully reviewed now.
