Yeah, well, the changes were announced by government.
They said they're going to begin withdrawing tourist and commercial accommodation from some 16,000 Ukrainians from August.
Also, government have agreed to wind down the โฌ600 accommodation recognition payment scheme in the last four months of this year, and it'll end then next March.
And work is to begin as well on a new voluntary return programme to Ukraine.
This is Minister of State for Migration, Colm Brophy, speaking with Justin McCarthy on Morning Ireland.
when these new changes were announced?
Yes, and they will have a minimum of 12 weeks' notice.
This will begin in August over a six-month period.
Special provision will be made for those who are particularly vulnerable, but already the uncertainty around long-term arrangements and the government announcement means some hotels
have actually taken the decision to return fully to a tourist model.
Given that, obviously, from August onwards, government has announced they're pulling back from this model of accommodation.
So some hotels are trying to get in and have a tourist season before that happens.
