would motivate you to maybe take a positive risk, to try something new, to put yourself out there.

So I want you to think of some friends because I have friends where I have never once heard the words, I'm proud of you, come out of their mouth, which is so interesting because I think of my friends and I'm like, I'm proud of practically every single one of them because of all the growth and change that I've seen happen in their lives.

But there are people out there

who might not be happy for your change.

And I know that might be really hard to come to terms with, but you don't have room for that energy in your life holding you back.

You would think this would be so obvious, but some of you need to hear it.

People who are your friend will not make fun of you, will not put you down, and will not embarrass you.

But believe it or not, there are friends out there who intentionally go out of their way to embarrass their friends, put them down in front of other people to make themselves feel cooler or bigger or better.

It's maybe in a social setting, in front of a group of boys, in front of family,

They feel like they need to say something or bring up something embarrassing that happened to the other person that makes them uncomfortable because it makes them feel like they have the upper hand in the situation, which is so disgusting.

Not a real friend.

The number one thing about friends is that if you have a friend and they know a big secret about you or something that makes you really embarrassed, they will not tell it if they actually are your friend.

Even if it is something that will make for the juiciest tea or the funniest story, you don't.

That is the truth, you don't.

And that is also my encouragement to any of you who are trying to learn how to be a good friend, you don't do that.

Number one rule of thumb.

Friends do not make fun of each other.

That's not it.

It's just never it, never will be, never has been.

Another major red flag in friendships is when people try to be a carbon copy of you.
