Like learn from my mistakes.
No, like I am the textbook definition of how not to write a book.
I just start.
I don't write an outline.
I get halfway through the book and then I go, oh, I really need to do that.
And I don't write in order.
And I also recommend if you can write as in order as possible, that really helps because then you know all the dominoes you've lined up rather than trying to mentally keep track of them.
So your writing advice is...
Yeah.
Sorry, I'm neurodivergent.
I know there's a real tendency to dolphin brain as people who are queer and neurodivergent.
And that's where you jump from one wave to the other without actually going through the water.
You need to go through the water.
To get to the next wave.
Yeah.
I absolutely and I as I've written four or five books now I'm getting better at it but I still inherently am not I'm not immune to that um also if you're queer I don't overthink I think my my biggest thing for queer writers is don't overthink what you're writing you need to write it the way you want to write it and then your readers will find you if you try to write to mark it
And you try to go out there and specifically go, I'm going to write this so it's published.
It's not going to feel organic for one.
It's going to feel a little bit too corporate for the queer community.
And then it might not be that really beautiful story, that organic story that an editor wants to read.
