Feeling yourself at the center of that point of light where the in-breath becomes the out-breath, where the out-breath becomes the in-breath.
Expanding outward now just into the ordinary cycle of your breath.
Feeling your feet upon the floor and your back against the chair.
Taking a moment to make that intention clearly for yourself.
What will you bring with you from your inner sanctuary into the rest of the day?
And then allow the sound of the bell to draw you back to all that awaits you.
Thank you.
Welcome back.
In today's meditation, we take some moments to simply dwell in peace together.
All of us are seeking peace.
We come to meditation often expecting that it will produce peace and indeed it can be a fruit of the practice.
But sometimes we need to dwell a little more deeply in the peacefulness that arises from the present moment.
and the peace that is the actual ground of our being.
So let's begin.
Entering this time of meditation, we do so deliberately and with intention.
choosing this time of peace, stability, and stillness.
Sitting down, we do so with awareness, allowing our posture to be open, our spine to lengthen, our breath to be clear.
We take a moment to just feel the support of the ground beneath us,
remembering that no matter what story of a building we are on, beneath us always, no matter how far away, is the stability of the earth.
And so in feeling the solidity of the floor beneath us, we feel also the earth itself.
