I was, about 19 years ago, I loved cars, right?

And I wanted to get into something, and I was a dropkick at school, and I loved working on cars, right?

Not really working, but I loved cars.

So I wanted to work within the car industry.

So I approached the dealer, I was maybe 19 years ago, so I was maybe 18 or 19.

Yeah.

And...

I approached, they had a job going for a workshop controller, so they looked up, a workshop controller basically dishes out all the work to all the mechanics and stuff like that and they see what's wrong and they follow up on work.

So, I'm a really good talker, so I ended up getting the job by sheer luck and fluke and I talked my way through it, give me a shot, give me a shot, and they ended up giving me a shot.

And here we are 19 years later.

I worked there for like three years and I just talked shit the first six months.

I had no idea.

A few people picked up on it and the bloke that was on top of me, my manager, after a year, he goes to me, mate, you don't have a bloody clue, do you?

But he goes to me, he goes to me, but I love your enthusiasm and I love your love for the job.

And you just, you do everything wholeheartedly.

You do what you really want to learn.

19 years later, I've got five of my own workshops, and I haven't picked up a tool in about 10 years.
