But in those days, in the 50s, women really felt that pressure.

You are either going to be a professional woman or a mother, a housewife and mother.

She chose to be a housewife and mother.

And always, for decades after that, always went, I wish that wasn't the case.

I wish I didn't have to choose.

And because my mother wasn't a very good cook, we too also wished that she didn't have to choose.
