So I guess what I'm saying is if you're Keith Pelley, and let's say you've made your decision.
Let's say you've made your decision that Tree Living's gone or you're bringing in someone above him that's going to make the ultimate call.
You better have that person ready quickly because Cassidy, if he wants to coach next year, won't be out of a job for long.
And DeBoer likely won't be out of a job for long.
That doesn't mean you have to go after those guys.
Maybe there's other young coaches that are up and coming that you want to find the next John Cooper.
You want to find the next guy who's an assistant coach somewhere or a coach in the minors that you feel can really pop.
But you don't want to do this backwards where Keith Pelley's hiring Bruce Cassidy and then going to hire a GM or something like that.
That, to me, would be backwards business.
But...
Yeah, exactly.
That's why I guess what I'm saying is, and it should go without saying, he better have his...
barrels loaded like immediately because you've had ample opportunity you've had a lot of time this isn't a meltdown where you lose the last five games and just miss and then reshuffle and go where are we I can't believe it they've known they've been out of this for at least a month and a half like they're they're in Anaheim tonight and Gutis is playing and I give a lot of credit to Ratko Gutis because he's injured and he said I'm going I'm playing so basically he knows what's coming and
Really?
Pizzetta?
The other side of it is the reason I think he's comfortable playing is he's not worried about anyone the Leafs are going to throw at him.
Pizzetta is in the lineup.
I'm guessing he has to fight twice tonight.
I would think Pizzetta grabs him.
And I think it's probably Quinville and Berube are old school guys.
