He said, thanks for telling us what the law is.
Yes.
Yes.
Because it is.
Especially when you're out there in the middle of nowhere, right?
And oftentimes there are no fences.
Right.
You're like, well, this seems pretty arbitrary.
Right?
The other interesting thing that the Lieutenant Governor brought up is problem corners, which is something that came up
in Wyoming as well, where, um, we don't have the exact location of a corner anymore because it was marked with a pile of rocks or, you know, dinosaur bone is something people reference.
I've never seen that personally.
Um, and, or there was a tree there or there was something other than a survey marker, right?
Um, big boulder, something that is going to be very, very hard to cross over the top of without,
having to step on, on private land.
Um, it's awesome that the Lieutenant governor brought that up.
The state of Montana, uh, is not doing anything to identify those.
Neither has the state of Wyoming.
Um, we created a site at back country hunters and anglers using ArcGIS where, um, if you would like to turn in problem corners so we can identify them.
you can just pop your coordinate coordinates in there and that can be a misaligned fence.
