A couple of months ago, we'd done a press conference and he says, I won't be happy unless I deliver that.
So regardless of everything else, on a world stage as well.
So he didn't just say that behind closed doors.
He said it publicly.
Was it just a world title and you'd be happy there or did you want to take it as far as you thought you could take it?
at least that's what i say to yourself yeah well it's good that you say that because it's actually a it's a good callback because eddie is now managing tom aspinall he was the ufc heavyweight champion and he said that okay yeah he'll just be in the in the dressing room get his hand wrapped and he's very nervous yeah and he says the one thing he tells himself is there's another man in this arena somewhere who's as nervous as him exactly and they have to fight each other so that's where he tells himself
I think it's good as well that
Because, yeah, you are leading the line when it comes to women's boxing, but you're only as good as your dance partner.
And you're giving her that rub now.
She's a superstar as well.
Katie, it's kind of fitting that the last fight at the headline in Croke Park was Muhammad Ali, because like you, I think his biggest fights in his career have been outside of the ring.
Did you ever think about that?
Yeah, and back then as well, what would you like, 15 round fights?
that's what successful people do all the time they do things that other people are prepared to do yeah and they do things that you don't want to do every single week yeah and that's what makes the difference yeah and the sacrifices as well that's like you cut no corners in your career and that's why i made that comparison to Muhammad Ali because you've you've had nothing handed to you yeah like you had to fight just to get in a ring as an amateur let alone the olympics in crow park like that's
The fact that you were able to even get in a ring and fight, that alone is an achievement.
