Even going and seeing a financial planner is something people often put off because they're worried about what the financial planner might say or think.
Or even seeing your accountant, which is one that I think a lot of people also put off.
Even seeing a mortgage broker, maybe asking for a pay rise, paying off pesky debt like credit cards or buy now, pay later.
These are all high-impact decisions and that's why they get delayed.
Yes, I say this to Tom all the time after going to the gym.
I'm like, I'm so glad I did that.

I think it's a combination of different things and it's very much reflective as to what it is you're actually putting off.
So, you know, for some people, yes, there's the fear of getting it wrong, you know, and they put so much pressure on themselves, you know, and then there's obviously feeling overwhelmed, thinking, oh, this is too much of a big task for me to handle or do right now.
I just don't know where to start.
So I'll just let it be undone, you know, for a bit more.
Then there's obviously the lack of clarity, not actually knowing practically what to do to do this or get started or fix this.
There's also the emotional discomfort because sometimes we do have to face something that's actually hiding behind the reason why we haven't gotten started, which I'm going to share something with you in a little bit about where my procrastination boils down to a bit of an emotional discomfort.
But then there's also, I think, one that gets missed as well is the financial discomfort.
So, for example, someone knows they need income protection.
They know that they're walking around exposing their family to unnecessary risk.
But they also know that the premiums are going to be expensive.
