These are skills that can be taught in school in a really fun, hands-on way, especially for our early learners.
Parents might not have the vocabulary to really understand how do I teach this to my child.
That's like anything though.
Like if you're, you might have kids who come to school, whose parents never read them a book and some kids who come to school, whose parents have read them a hundred books.
So you're going to have that disparity all the time.
So I think that teaching it in school, yes, it's another thing to, for teachers to teach, but I think it
is so interwoven with academic success that, and also it helps with classroom management as well, that it's a total bonus, especially in the early years.
Yeah, I think separation is a really common issue that many children and parents face, especially in those early years.
It is really hard saying goodbye to your mom and dad.
And so you can understand why children get emotional and upset.
But I have a few techniques that I've used with my kids when they were little.
So what I do is that I would draw like a little heart on my hand and then a little heart on theirs.
And then I would explain to them
You know, mommy misses you as well.
When you go to school, you know, it's not just you missing me.
Like I really miss you too.
And when I miss you, I'm going to rub this little heart on my hand.
And that means I'm going to like close my eyes and I'm going to think of you.
And you do the same when you're at school.
When you really miss me, you close your eyes and rub that heart and I'll feel it.
