Okay, so we're here together.
There is a pretty big news this morning that I saw that Meta cut more than 1,000 employees in Bay Area's first big tech layoffs of 2026.
I started seeing a lot of noise around that this morning from various accounts and whatnot.
And apparently, the cuts aren't touching Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp.
They're all within...
A meta's reality labs, hence the metaverse.
And I would imagine...
It says meta lays off 10% of reality lab staff.
So obviously the metaverse was already done.
Now it's really done in terms for Meta's case.
Interesting though, they still keep the name.
So how does that play?
Like, will they do a name change to something else?
I'm curious about that.
I wonder what the rest of the 90% of Reality Lab staff who are remaining at Meta, will they probably moved into Meta Ray-Ban, the glasses, probably reintegrated into their AI teams.
So that's, yeah, it's pretty significant.
Do you think that they are... I'm sure they're under pressure with the amount of money, but is it nothing... You know, there's a nothing to lose attitude or...
