How do we protect our privacy?

And quite frankly, how do we protect the integrity of the legal process?

It's a problem that has to be dealt with now because it's happening in courtrooms now.

No, we're just talking about AI ruining everything.

Education, courtrooms.

Guess what?

It's ruining your novels now.

There's a publisher that yanked a book that people were excited of called Shy Girl.

It's a horror novel over accusations that AI was used to generate the text of the book.

But if the book was good enough...

What does it matter?

But I guess it wasn't good enough.

People on Goodreads and YouTube had basically just said, this seems like AI slop.

Why are we reviewing this book at all?

Yeah, the book was originally self-published by the author, and then it was picked up by the Hachette book group, which is very common.

It's sort of in the era of AI, book publishers are looking for new ways to identify cool books that will sell.

And so they're looking for self-published titles that have buzz, and certainly Shy Girl had buzz.

And the author, Mia Ballard, she was editing the book for its release in the U.S.

It's already been released by the publisher in the U.K.

and it's supposed to be in the U.S.
