I've gotten used to, like, I might go up there looking for a pitch, and I might not get it, and that might end in a strikeout, and I have to be totally okay with that.
And the Blue Jays are okay with that as well.
But that's also why I think you've seen better numbers.
I've seen better numbers is because...
Because I'm looking for a pitch, when I do get that pitch, I've done a great job of not missing that pitch.
And so there's definitely the risk-reward factor involved in that for sure, but I'm willing to live by the sword and die by the sword.
And so, like I said, that's kind of one of the bigger adjustments.
And yeah, I mean...
Sometimes just being disciplined and when you don't get the pitch, they'll throw four balls before they throw three strikes and I never have to take the bat off my shoulder.
And sometimes they do throw three strikes and I'm back to the dugout.
But I don't enjoy striking out whatsoever.
I don't want to make it seem like I'm going out there trying to.
It's part of the game and these guys are so good now where you have to eliminate some pitches and sit on yours.
And walks aren't that bad.
Yeah, that to me is like an area where I'm like, I can do it.
I think a lot of people look at me and say, yeah, he's a corner outfielder.
He's a first baseman.
Don't even worry about him.
But you look at a guy like Naylor for the Mariners last year, and I think I don't know how many bags he had, but he was like 20 plus, 30 plus.
And so I'm a firm believer that base running and specifically stealing bases is all kind of just baseball IQ.
