So for me, it was on lots of levels, it was like coming to them for the first time.
And I think it's a clever way that Walsh writes about them.
about them because he doesn't predispose a lot of knowledge.
I think you can come to this book having not read Transploding or seen the movie or followed any of the other five books.
I would be interested if someone had read all of the books how they would, what their take on this would be.
And during the course of the book, he gives enough information so that if you're a first-time reader and you go, wow, what's this all about?
Who are these characters?
I didn't see Trainspotting.
I don't know anything about them.
Apparently there were drugs involved and they're reprobates.
That's all I know.

if you're disadvantaged and you're having to wade through all of this background material.
So coming in comparatively cold, you know, I didn't feel like I was left out because I didn't know chapter and verse about the previous books.
Oh, the plot's nuts.
I mean, let's just cut to the chase.
You know, and it gets weirder and weirder and weirder.
And there were times literally where I'm going, what just happened?
