There are lots of very funny set pieces, but there are whole lots of things that happen in this book where in some cases he just leaves it to me unexplained.
You know, there's organ transplanting, you know, without giving away too much.
You know, we have a character who is flown to Berlin thinking that he's lost a kidney and
But on the plane over there, correct me if I'm wrong, Kate, my recollection, he's informed that, no, there's a big mound of heroin has been inserted in his body, but his kidneys are still there.
Yeah.
Oh, yes, yeah.
And given his past with heroin, he's going, is this a good thing or a bad thing?
And then when he gets to Berlin, then he does lose the kidney.
And so the whole organ smuggling business, to me, was never completely explained properly.

We never find out why this kidney is so important.
We've got an underworld figure who wants a kidney for reasons that, unless I've missed something and never clearly explained, I did like the fact that the first attempt to smuggle...
the kidney involved in a little accident and the dog ate the kidney.
