The kind of problem solving we're seeing from a lot of politicians basically amounts to sidestepping the issue, pretending it doesn't exist. You know, maybe not throwing trans people under the bus explicitly by actively supporting our elimination from public life, but certainly not standing up and defending us.

And we know there are a lot of problems with how many unions currently do that. But for those of us who are very committed to struggle for equality, that's not going to compromise and throw some group under the bus.

If we want people to stand up and defend trans rights and defend trans healthcare and defend our ability to exist in public life, then we have to be the ones to do it. We have to do it.
