I'd like to meet Mr. Backhurst personally.
We've never met to actually face to face discuss this to try and understand and work out like why this happened.
Firstly, that, you know, Sean, how could somebody work in RTE for nearly a quarter of a century?
And at the end for their pension, what's in it is totally unreflective of their career in RTE.
And it's it just beggars belief.
And, you know, Sean wanted to be staff.
He raised, you know, he he raised this very often with management.
Every single year his contract was renewed and he never was, you know, he was never he never got anywhere with it.
He's not in the top 10 of the presenters in there, not even remotely, not even close, you know, not even the same ballpark.
So we're not talking about someone who has a sideline, who has a private company, who's an LTD.
He's not.
Sean was, he did his job to the best of his ability, but all he got was his RT income and he heavily relied on that.
And, you know, he got a very modest wage.
I mean, we're very disadvantaged financially because of this, particularly in missing out on those pension payments over the years because of his misclassification to the final number for his life insurance, death and service.
That's out of whack completely.
is is is is deeply lacking so um this you know i'm a single mother now with two very young children left in this precarious situation where i'm trying to you know talk to insurance companies and get this sorted and i'm being told no um you know it's down to rte these are the figures we've got from rte so you know it does it will impact my life because this you know my children are as i said very young and going forward i need this money
for their future.
And I think Sean would have wanted them to be looked after.
We have a long, a long lasting relationship and love together.
And, you know, I had a great time for Sean.
