I think they needed to pick one.

And I don't know while they were making the season if... Because I've been reading a lot about fan criticism, what Anthony Starr thought about some of the Trump stuff.

And I feel like the V1 was their way and the religious White House angle was Kripke and Co.

's way of being like, this season is going to be very much about Trump.

And I don't know if you can get that, if you can get there, if so much of it is Kimiko getting Soulja Boy's powers.

You look like you're about to indict him.

Well, I think it is as simple as we've been with the boys.

We've been with Butcher and Kimiko and all these characters for so long.

if it ends up being Soldier Boy who strips, like thematically, a father stripping his son of power works, I think for how much time we spent with that character, we would have all come in here and be like,

damn, I've been waiting this long to see this and Butcher or another member of the boys did not have a bigger role to play.

And I also think that is just what happens with a multi-season TV show, especially in this landscape where it was like, Soulja Boy was supposed to be able to take him down and then Ryan was supposed to be able to take him down and then Marie.

And it's like, yeah, but none of those characters are the boys.

None of them are the crew that we've grown to love.
