I want them to feel like they've heard them before.
If I disguise the music, I'll put it to you this way.
I feel more comfortable telling people what the song is about if there's a musical distraction behind it.
You know what I always have trouble with?
I always have trouble with the genius things where they make you sing the lyrics without any music behind it because you really hear what the song is about.

It's kind of like 1992 sounding.
There's stuff going on that allows me, it's like my smoke and mirrors to get the message forward.
I would much rather the audience interpret it because we've mentioned it a hundred times, but See You Again started as an in memoriam song, but as it marinated in culture and time for such a long time, the meaning changes every day because of people.
So I want to talk to people about what they feel the song means to them.
That's more interesting to me.
I know what it means to me.
I don't have to be like, this is what the song is about and that's it.
