I grew up in the 90s where fat was demonized and we had low fat everything which was miserable.
Why did we demonize fat?
My relationship with food, my health improved so much when at the end of my 20s, when I'd consumed nothing but these awful low fat foods and just replaced it with proper whole foods.
So butter and cheese and avocados and olive oil.
Yeah.
My fullness became a thing.
You know, I didn't realize that they're so satiating and they're delicious.
And they're healthy.
I think your brain also recognises that you've had food and you're full, whereas all those low-fat things, I think, are really confusing to your idea of portion control.
You end up eating more calories.
And I've got a lot of experience in that.
Yes.
Fat is good in moderation.
So if you do decide to take a test and your doctor tells you you've got high cholesterol, what happens next?
