You never really can escape it.
So there's probably something to be said for jobs that literally have a time clock where you just punch out.
Well, it is about the satisfaction you get from work.
You know, Gary made the Larry Sanders show, which was, you know, making fun of a fictionalized talk show host who was such an egomaniac that he would go home after taping the show and immediately watch the show.
So I just did an interview with Larry King and his wife was on an early episode of its Gary Shandling show.
And the first thing he says to me is, yeah, he said when they used to go out on dates, they'd watch the show.
And that's what Gary was making fun of is the idea that being famous makes you happy and that you're chasing it and chasing it and chasing it.
And you don't realize that what should make you happy is just the people in the office.
You know, Gary used to say Larry Sanders shows about people who love each other.
But show business gets in the way.
This chasing it all the time.
And and yes, it's hard to know if.
People who can shut it off, you know, they put on the game and they're happy.
Sometimes I'm sitting home and say I'm just hanging out.
