And I learned a lot about mentoring from Gary who mentored me.

You know, Gary had this crazy experience where he was 20 years old and he went to go see George Carlin.

And Carlin wasn't a big star yet because he just became the hippie George Carlin.

And he wrote jokes for him.

He tried to like sell him jokes.

And he got Carlin at the bar to talk to him.

And Carlin said, come back tomorrow.

I'll have read them.

And he comes back and they're laid out on a table and he had little markings on him and

And he said, you know what?

I don't buy jokes, but there's a great one on every page.

So if you want to be in comedy, I would pursue it.

And Gary just moved to California.

And I always felt like that planted the seed for mentorship in Gary, that that kind of encouragement can change somebody's life.

Yeah, I agree, and I'd like to dig a pit and fill it with all the people that did the opposite of that.
