There are a lot of worthy candidates.
I don't ever have to worry about it because I ain't going in.
But for the guys and gals that deserve it, I would like to see them with us to be able to have that moment in the sun where they're recognized for all they've done, not just for their families and their organizations, but our game.
That's the ultimate reward for what they've sacrificed for baseball.
And as you said, for them not to be here and then go in, it's a wonderful honor, but it rings a little hollow, at least for me.

And as you said, as I said, it's, you know, it's a partnership.
It's not about one guy.
You know, in the old days of radio, when the, where there was one play by play guide, he was doing all nine innings and he was working by himself and he was doing the pictures, descriptions and accounts, all that stuff.
I get that.
But I think the really good TV broadcasts are the ones where it's like two good friends sitting there talking about a game that they love.
And the great thing about Steve Stone was he had such an innate ability to predict what was going to happen.
He really is a baseball Nostradamus because he's seen it all and done it all as a player and a broadcaster.
But he can tell you what's going to happen.
He's going to tell you why.
