This is a franchise I associate basically this entire century with almost a total incompetence.

But to see exactly what I'm telling you, which is you saw that Jalen Brunson did not have enough to get past the Heat, to see over the last four years the way that the management of the Knicks has done the correct things and the management of the Heat have not done the correct things, it's nuts to see what's at the top of that conference now.

I don't think it's too different from where the Heat were with Jimmy Butler.

I think Jalen Brunson's one of those superstars.

Can you really win a title with him as your best player?

Probably not.

You have to really surround him with a lot of talent to get it right.

I think they've made a lot of moves, ballsy moves, even moves that you could look back and say probably an overreach, but moves that they felt like they had to make.

And they've certainly put pieces around him.

But they've stepped up.

Those pieces have stepped up.
