They can't bring themselves to have a vote to refurbish it because they know what everybody will say.
So it just stands there crumbling around them, bits literally falling onto MPs heads as they walk around the place.
I think that's emblematic, symptomatic of the wider malaise affecting the British body politic.
This good chap theory of government that we've got just simply doesn't work.
It needs to be torn up.
I'm fast becoming an anarchist, Jim, or a revolutionary of some kind, thinking that whichever way you look at it, all the Tory prime ministers that we've had since 2010, now we're going to get another Labour prime minister sooner or later because Starmer is a dead man walking.
