This year, I think that you look at some of the eye-popping totals, especially from the defensemen in the league this year.
There's a lot of kind of raise your eyebrows, and the WHL probably was impacted more
as much as anybody with the number of high end players that, that did leave and will be leaving after the season as well.
So I think scouts are definitely taking into account that they're, you know, let's not read too much into the point totals, but I think that that's actually kind of been their job, you know, the whole time, you know, it's like, they have to do this for high school players in Minnesota prep school players and versus junior guys.
So, you know, they're well versed in, in kind of waiting the different leagues and, and understanding what it is.
And I think like, you know, in McKenna's case, a lot of people are saying, Hey,
College hockey is about as good as it's ever been.
So, you know, how much are we, are we being too harsh when things weren't going amazingly well at the beginning of the season?
And, you know, so I think that that's kind of the way things have adjusted it.
I don't think it's changed the job a ton.
They're still doing the same amount of views in those leagues.
They're still seeing those players.
Maybe they'll have a few less views in this league or that league, you know, just because there are fewer players.
But I think the CHL leagues still very much are fertile ground for the scouts, and they're continuing to really look and scour those leagues for the best players.
And now the only thing that really changes is really comes down to the player development side after the draft, and it's like, okay, well, where's the best place for this player after this year?
And there's going to be a lot more options available to NHL teams starting next season.
Well, he's on their preliminary roster now, and he's been doing really well.
So I think there's a strong likelihood that he'll make the team out of at least the pre-tournament camp here, and we'll see where things go, how many NHL players that are available to them.
But the young guys for Sweden have really driven the boat for them or driven the bus for them or the boat.
Or the boat, yeah, yeah.
