While I've still got you, Chris, I came across an article which made me think of you.
It was a bit of research that said that cats meow more when a male owner comes home than when a female owner comes back.
Now, I should say, this was a study of 31 cat owners in Turkey.
And they recorded the information from cameras they had sort of strapped to the cats.
And they looked at the first hundred seconds of footage.
And the cats were kind of doing their welcome home behavior, rubbing against owners, yawning, wandering off, all the things that cats do.
But one kind of behavior stood out.
The cats in Turkey meowed 4.3 times on average when greeting a male owner and just 1.8 times for a female one.
More than twice as much for a male owner.
Because the cats were happy to see them?
Well, the researchers couldn't conclude that.
They said they didn't know why.
I've had two male cats in the last decade.
Well, it doesn't mention the sex of the cat, so I can't tell you about that.
George and then Winston.
And I can tell you what, both of these cats really disliked me.
I did everything for the cats.
When Dinah became pregnant with Lyra, the second she was pregnant, sleep on the belly.
And then did the same for the other pregnancies until the third one.
