And so it's all, it's just sort of...
The whiteness of milk has nothing, I don't believe, I don't think it has anything to do with the calcium content of milk.
Anyway, we're not talking about milk specifically today.
We are going to talk about calcium.
And it is an element that has a huge number of different roles in the body.
We want to find out how much we need, where we get it, because as you say, it isn't all from milk.
And listener Alison has asked whether you always get enough calcium in your diet or should we be taking calcium supplements?
You can buy calcium supplements everywhere.
Should we drink our milk?
And Chris, what's really interesting is I don't really know the answer to any of these questions.
I'm suddenly even thinking about the history of my sort of cultural assumptions about calcium and milk and my diet and things.
I think, oh, do I need any of this stuff?
Well, Sandy, you don't have to know the answers to these questions because we have an incredible guest today.
Do you want to introduce them?
Our guest today is Dr. Sergeant Zach Verghese, consultant in diabetes endocrinology and general internal medicine, and she is an honorary lecturer and a senior clinical teaching fellow at Imperial College in London.
We are very excited to have her with us.
Sarjan, thank you for coming on the podcast.
