And then you can focus on the fact that, you know, ask yourself the question, is it well made?
It isn't.
It isn't well acted.
It isn't well shot.
It's so poorly edited.
Of course it is, because there was a four hour film there that had to be cut down to a two hour film.
And you can see the lines.
You can see the creases.
It's very shoddy in places.
And again, it's just going back to this idea that it feels like the filmmakers think that a biopic is just shooting concert footage.
It's like they watched the last 15 minutes of Bohemian Rhapsody and said, let's do that.
But let's do that for the whole film.
That's not how it works.
That's not good enough.
It was a chap named Graham King who produced Bohemian Rhapsody.
And given the success of Bohemian Rhapsody, another cartoon as far as I'm concerned, he must have thought to himself... I like that in its defense, but... Okay, right.
There were people who enjoyed the film, I'll give you that.
But given the success, Graham King thought to himself, who else can I make a biopic about?
And it was his idea initially, after he saw the success of MJ the Musical and the Cirque du Soleil show and given the soar in Michael Jackson's album sales, let's make a film about Michael Jackson.
Now, it's no surprise that when he started calling around and knocking on the doors of major studios around the US, they said, absolutely not.
