And he said, no, I never had the balls.
And I think to...
almost like break the mold and, and break the chain.
I suppose you've got to be really brave and make a strong decision.
And like, you know, walking off a golf course, you know that the tour are going to look at that and just find you straight away.
And to me, that sends the wrong message.
I know there are gray areas with players over the years, but yeah,
You've got to see past all that.
And eventually, I suppose I got brave enough to not add any more trauma.
And so when I came back out onto a golf course, James Martin, who you know, Eddie, helps me with my swing.
He said, let's go out with a six iron and a putter.
And we played nine holes with a six iron and a putter because I had no trauma associated with those clubs.
And we started from there.
And I suppose gradually over time, I built more tools and more resilience to be
and failing, but falling to a place where I felt a lot safer to fall rather than just I've got nowhere to go now.
And then, yeah, the vicious cycle continues.
So, yeah, I suppose it was a gradual process of putting things like that in place.
Well, I think that's been quite a frustrating thing I've found is that I've played with players, as I'm sure you have, who have really struggled with their chipping and they just putt it from everywhere.
Yet when you're struggling at the other end of the game...
Well, you still want it in a bloody thing.
